Self explanatory. Let's get into it:
New York City, New York
I recently went to a bachelorette in NYC and it was amazing. There is something for every bride in this city. Whether it is bar hopping the various rooftops in Midtown, or doing a group yoga class in Central Park, no two bachelorettes in NYC are the same. If this is something that you and your bridal party are considering, stay tuned for my post about the activities the bachelorette I was on in NYC did; as well as places/activities we wanted to go to but didn't have time for. Pro tip: go in the summer; but if that is not feasible, Christmas time in the city is also a good choice.
Austin, Texas
Let's face it: Nashville is overdone! Austin's music scene is up and coming, and their night life defiantly rivals it Tennessee counterpart. There are music festivals year round in Austin, so if your bride is a music fanatic, try to plan the bachelorette around one of them. My personal favorites are Austin City Limits and Float Fest (a music festival where guests float in a river while listening to their favorite artists). Sidebar: think of how iconic a disco cowgirl themed bachelorette would be in Texas!
Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts
For more laid-back brides that are thinking about a bachelorette in the Hamptons, Martha's Vineyard is a great alternative. It is actually very difficult to find an Air B&B in the Hamptons that will allow bachelor/ bachelorette parties. This is due to the value of the houses there as well as the area's unfortunate history with wild groomsmen and bridal parties. Martha's Vineyard is the same vibe at a better price. Although the nightlife here is nothing special, a bride looking for a calm and quaint weekend with her friends will love the atmosphere of the island.
Ibiza, Spain
And on the complete opposite side of the spectrum from Martha's Vineyard is Ibiza: an island off of Spain notorious for its crazy beach clubs and vivid nightlife. If this is your choice for your bachelorette, be sure to confirm with your bridesmaids if they can financially handle it. Although Ibiza is the dream destination for a wild-child bride, the trip will cost a pretty penny: and your friends are already paying for bridesmaid dresses, hair, makeup, and anything else that is required to make your wedding special.
Charlottesville, Virginia
Although many associate Charlottesville with a college town, it is also home to some of the best wineries on the East Coast. Drink all day while enjoying spectacular mountain views. Then at night, try one of the dozens of amazing restaurants found at Charlottesville's main strip. My top picks of the area are Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards (you have to see the hydrangeas at full bloom), and 200 South Street Inn for lodging purposes (the staff there is so friendly and it is close to downtown). The best time to go is in the summer through early fall in order to experience the full beauty of the area. If your bride loves wine, chances are she will love Charlottesville too.
San Pedro, Belize
Like Nashville, bachelorettes in Mexico are so over done: which is why Belize is the next best option. For starters, it is an English-speaking country (which will make it easier for you and your bridal party to navigate around). San Pedro specifically is very Americanized and lots of resorts there are owned by massive hotel chains (for example the Alaia is stunning, and owned by Marriott). What I like about Belize over Mexico is that it is safer, the beaches are cleaner, and it's just different! You will still get the crystal clear waters and central-american vibe that draw most brides to Mexico, but in a unique and refreshing way. Additionally, the current currency rate is 2 Belize Dollars for every 1 American Dollar; which could save a bridal party thousands of dollars.
Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada
What I like about Lake Tahoe is that it is versatile. Whether it is a bride who loves to ski and winter weather, or a bride that loves the sunshine and trail walks, Lake Tahoe can cater to any outdoorsy brides desires. There are dozens of great resorts and Air B&B's out there as well. A lot of the region is dog-friendly too: so if you have a bride that wants her furry friend at the festivities, Lake Tahoe is a great choice.
Saint Petersburg, Florida
Want to go somewhere in Florida, but don't want to pay the outrageous prices of Miami or Walt Disney World? Well, Saint Petersburg is your city. There are a ton of Instagramable restaurants and bars as well as endless amounts of things to do. Pro tip: if you want to cut down on costs, try to find an Air B&B in the surrounding suburban area.
Big Sky, Montana
Like Lake Tahoe, Big Sky is perfect for the bride who wants to play outside all day. In the winter, Big Sky is notorious for its ski slopes and winter activities. If your bachelorette is taking place in the summer, no problem there either! The region boarders Yellowstone National Park. Big Sky Resort is world renowned and home to the "biggest skiing in America." This particular resort is only open in the winter, but there are a ton of similar options in the area.
Canada
Montreal, Toronto, Ontario, Quebec: literally any major city in Canada can cater to any bachelorette needs. The reason I list multiple cities is because if you are a west coast bride that wants to keep costs low, but go somewhere unique and different, then heading directly north to Vancouver will save you more time and money then say, flying across the country to Ottawa. Same logic applies to east coasters as well. Also, there is not really a bad time to visit Canada. The country is beautiful year round, and offers activities to do in every season.
